I started Pierce the Shadow with a single question: if we could look at what people are dreaming across the world — all of it, together — what would we see?
I believe our dreams have value. That is true on an individual level — my dreams have meaning for me. But could it be true collectively as well? Could our dreams be a thread that runs through all of us — something shared beneath the surface of our very different lives?
So the idea behind Pierce the Shadow was born. A place where every dreamer can explore their own dreams — and, if they choose, contribute them to something larger. A shared pool that can be read, analyzed, and learned from.
What do I expect to find? Are there themes that keep appearing — the same fears, the same longings, the same figures — across thousands of different dreams? And when they do appear, what is the experience like? What emotions does it carry? How does it resolve?
I don’t have the answers. But I’m curious — and if you are too, I’d like your help.
Pierce the Shadow has only just started. As dreams come in, I will look for the threads — the themes that repeat, the experiences that echo across people and places. If you write your dreams here and choose to contribute them, you become part of the expedition. I promise to report back on whatever we find.
I hope you’ll join me.
What calls out to you in this dream?
Explore at your own pace. Follow only what genuinely resonates — select, write, or simply notice. Nothing is required.
What shapes are emerging between what resonated?
What is the feeling underneath all of this?
Here are a few threads from what you've explored. Use them, ignore them, or write something entirely your own.
You have reached the bottom of this dream.
This experience is free. I intend to keep it that way — as long as the donations I receive cover my costs and my time. If it was worth something to you, a contribution helps. You can see the full picture on the transparency page.
